Fostering Fortnight in Wales

The 14th to the 27th of May is Foster Care Fortnight, an opportunity to celebrate the amazing work that foster carers do across the Country, and a time for others to take that important first step to becoming a foster parent and transforming lives.

It’s been nearly 20 years since Fostering Network’s first Fostering Fortnight it has now developed into a vital annual awareness campaign which reminds us of the need to recruit many more extraordinary people willing to open their hearts and home to vulnerable children.

Last year’s campaign saw thousands of people tweeting and posting about fostering, and this year you could join them and help raise awareness of the need for foster carers by using the hashtags #FCF17 #ProudtoFoster or #ProudtoSupportFostering.

Please remember that even if you are not in a position to become a foster carer yourself at this time, you can still help by speaking about fostering with family, friends and neighbours, and encouraging more people to think about being foster carers.

If you, or anyone that you know would like more information about how to take the first step to becoming a foster carer/parent, then we at Family Fostering Partners are here to help. We are a leading fostering agency in South Wales and we train and support foster carers across the whole of South Wales to help transform the lives of children and young people. So whether you live in Pembrokeshire in the West, or Monmouthshire in the East, talk to us today and see what difference you could make. You can drop us a message through live chat on our website; by emailing info@familyfosteringpartners.co.uk or by telephoning on 01267 232228. Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and twitter for all the latest fostering news and events.
