8th March 2023 marks International Women’s Day, a day dedicated to celebrating women’s achievements, and to raise awareness about discrimination.
We are lucky enough to work with amazing, inspirational women every single day, and we are constantly in awe of the impact that they have on the looked after children in their care. They are not only incredible foster parents, but they are advocates, empaths and leaders.
This year’s theme for International Women’s Day is #EmbraceEquity , something we at Family Fostering Partners are very dedicated to.
But what does it mean?
‘embrace - verb - ‘to willingly and enthusiastically accept, adopt, and espouse’
equity – verb - ‘the policy or practice of accounting for the differences in each individual’s starting point when pursuing a goal or achievement, and working to remove barriers to equal opportunity, as by providing support based on the unique needs of individual students or employees.’
Here is how we vow to continue to #Embrace Equity at Family Fostering Partners …
