What if I am not sure about the child or young person I am offered as a placement?

If you foster with Family Fostering Partners you can be sure of two things:

• We will not put you forward for a particular placement unless we are sure that it is a suitable and good match for you and your experience.
• You have the right to turn down any placement we offer you.

Now life is not always simple, and decisions not always clear cut, so we will always discuss potential placements with you. Sometimes, talking about your reservations can help you to take the plunge, with the assurance of extra training and support if it looks to be a particularly challenging placement. Ultimately though, the decision whether to accept a placement or not is yours, and we will always respect your position.
