Easter activities in South Wales
The Easter holidays can be challenging, trying to keep children entertained and minimising the amount of chocolate that’s being eaten can be exceptionally tiresome task. In order to help with the task of wearing off some of the excess energy from the additional sugar, we have compiled a list of some of the best things to do in South Wales with the children in your care.
Swansea Waterfront Museum
Free Showing of Peter Rabbit 2 and Shaun The Sheep Movie: Farmagedon
If the weather is disappointing and you’re looking for something to do inside, then look no further than the free film showings at Swansea Waterfront Museum. Shaun The Sheep Movie starts at 2.30pm on the 10th April, and Peter Rabbit starts on the 24th April. A fantastic rainy day activity suitable for children of all ages.

Dinefwr, Carmarthenshire
There some fantastic events planned at Dinefwr Park this Easter. One not to be missed is the Easter Egg Trail, treat your little ones to a world of adentures on the Easter Egg Trail. Monday 18th April from 10:30 - 15:30.
If you cant make the Egg Hunt, how about being an ‘Outdoor Explorer’? A morning jam packed full of adventure, taking place on the 30th April, 21st May, 18th June and 15th October from 10-12.

Margam Park, Neath Port Talbot
Margam Parks never fails to disappoint for fun activities for children of all ages! Easter Crafts with the Friends of Margam Park is taking place in the Castle from 11am -3pm on Monday 11th April.
For the more adventurous spirits, why not ‘Have a Go At Archery’? Taking place on Monday 11th April and Tuesday 12th April from 11am - 3pm.
For the littler ones in our lives, how about ‘Louby Lou Storytelling - Swashbuckling Pirates’. Tuesday 12th April at 11am, 12.15pm and 1.30pm. This is a free event, and one not to be missed!

Carew Castle, Pembrokeshire
Carew Castle are doing things a little bit differently this year! Forget your normal Easter Egg Hunt, how about a Dragon Egg Hunt?! The event runs on the 6th and 7th April from 10am-4pm..

National Museum, Cardiff.
A final honourable mention for Easter activities is the National Museum in Cardiff. This amazing museum is completely free to visit and could keep you and your child/children entertained for hours! If there are any dinosaur fans out there, this one’s for you!
