Family Fostering Partners on tour

It’s been a while since our last blog post was written, and a lot has happened over the Summer!

The Pembrokeshire show was once again a great event for FFP. We had the opportunity to meet and chat to many people from across West Wales, and were able to find several potential new carers to join us and offer children a chance at a loving and stable home.

The Pembrokeshire agriculture show was doubly exciting for us because it was our first adventure in the new caravan – affectionately called the Elevan. The Elevan provided perfect shelter from the horrible wind and rain that has characterised this summer in Wales, with copious amounts of cakes and coffee on offer to our visitors – along with the odd cheeky bacon and sausage sandwich!

Our Elevan will mean that in rain or shine, Family Fostering Partners will be out and about in your local community, advocating the great work of our carers and encouraging others to join us.

Don’t be disheartened however if you missed the chance to grab a cuppa in the Elevan, because we will be on the road again this week, at the ever popular Burns Dog day out on Sunday the 10th of September at Pembrey Country park. The Dog’s day out is a brilliant event, full of fun things to do and see, with or without your dog. Our very own Labradoodle, Celt will be entering the Handsome Hounds Dog Competition – so watch out for him looking dapper in his Family Fostering Partners coat!
