Care Inspectorate Wales Inspection Report

Aristotle once said, “Quality is not an act, it is a habit,” and it is a habit that we at Family Fostering Partners are happy to indulge!

Quality is an integral part of the service that we set out to offer to both our foster parents and the young people entrusted to our care.  We were therefore delighted to read our latest Inspection Report from the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW), which recognised that children and young people in our care benefit from a service where the well-being and support of foster carers is seen as a priority. After all, unless foster carers feel supported, how can they even begin to help vulnerable children to reach their potential?

The report describes how children within Family Fostering Partners are looked after by foster carers who understand their needs, and are warm, nurturing and caring in their approach. A credit to our foster parents; to the staff who work with them, and to the systems we have in place to ensure that we continue to improve the way we do things. We believe at Family Fostering Partners that children who have been hurt or abused deserve no less.

CIW also refer in the report to the fact that Family Fostering Partners are able to offer a fully bilingual service to our foster parents; from our initial visit to those families who might be interested in becoming carers, right through to assessment, panel and on-going support.
